The Many Faces of Ron Weasley

As somebody who read the books before going on to watch the film franchise, one of the things I love most about the HP films is the casting. And of the trio, I think the casting of Rupert Grint as Ronald Weasley was the best decision ever made for the films. Why? Because of his understanding of Ron as the comic relief. His use of facial expressions from the jump-off of the Philosopher's Stone has been superrrb.

Ron's Crying Face:

Have you ever been so excited for giant spiders in a movie?

Or poorly constructed flying cars?

Or Dumbledore causing injured students pain?

Or the dreaded howlers?

Ron Disgusted:

It's well-known that Ron isn't very good at keeping his emotion under wraps. When he finds something repulsive, chances are every one around him will know.

I think anybody who puked up slugs would have the same expression tbh.

I dunno about the mandrakes though, they're kinda cute....

Ron in Love:

One of the best Ron Weasley scenes was when he ate the spiked chocolates given to Harry by Romilda Vane. Priceless:

And who can pass up Ron's moments with Hermione? Whether he was being a smooth operator, a sincere Romeo or a total twat, his facial expressions always fit the bill.

Ron's Angry Face:

Is Ron Weasley angry? Oh, don't worry, you'll know.

Yup. You'll definitely know.

We hated him when he left....

We loved him when he came back and destroyed that horcrux....

<3

He may not be the bravest or the most perfect, but his facial expressions are legendary. And for that I say, Weasley is our King!
